Default My red hot SSV sportswagon

Well, the vz ss is gone and in it's place is my red hot manual ssv sportswagon
Just picked it up this morning and i'm rapt with the way the car handles with the pedders sports ryder set up.
Exhaust sounds great, no drone which is sometimes a problem in these but none in this case which is good.
    Anyhoo, so far it has:

Lowered with pedders sports ryder. Sits nice and doesn't sacrifice ride comfort.

KPM Motorsport full exhaust system. Not much to say here, just absolutely rapt with the result, will post up a sound file at some stage. Already had people saying that it's the best that they've heard so big pat on the back to those guys.

    Tinted windows. Doesn't everyone?

    Future plans:

On it's way is a Duspeed OTR which should arrive next week sometime. Oztrack efi live tune will then follow. Jury is still out on the Ripshifter, these stock ve ones are much better than the previous models so we'll wait and see there.
    Anyway, some pics

Just fitted up a DUS OTR and am doing a oztrack remote maffless tune at the moment. Has made a BIG difference just fine tuning it now.
    Cheers

Nice ride mate! Thinking of getting a KPM system as well, deciding between the 2.5" and 3" atm. Have you managed to make a vid/sound clip yet? I've found a few clips of the 3" KPM systems but no 2.5" yet.

That would be awesome! Really interested to hear the comparison of the loudness/deepness compared to the 3" KPM system, especially at idle.

How's the tune going? Any power figures?

Good on ya mate your's manual or auto? Get a maffless tune and otr you'll be rapt with the difference even in fuel economy. Thinking of putting 3.7 diff in mine now.

Been a bit slack on updates, VZ split engine covers relocated heater hoses (used VK V8 ones!) 3.7 diff went in, then did cam and springs made 340rwkw, jhp gauges (red to suit the cluster) to get rid of the "atari" ones. Next will be the clutch i reckon, might not like abit of 1/8th mile fun!

That is one amazing car!!! Nice list of upgrades! The 3.7 diff upgrade would have to be one of the better mods to these cars

I'm thinking of getting a 3.7 diff in my auto VE SSV. How much of a punch did it give you when you put your foot down?

How much did it alter your fuel economy? Does the increased reving bother you? What does it rev at cruise now?

G'day mate, car feels sharper low down (done the diff before cam upgrade) and made 6th gear more useable happy to run along in 6th at 80km/h or so. Don't know about the auto, but rpm only went up around 150-200rpm or so sitting on 1700rpm@100km/h made little difference to fuel if anything is better it's good on juice for a 2 tonne v8 wagon with 340rwkw. I've heard 3.45 (manual ssv) or even 3.27 (auto hsv) are good options also. I know 3.27's in a auto v8 ve pull around 1800rpm@100km/h.
    Cheers.
