Default My 2010 VE SS-V Sedan Special Edition

    My Ride

    Year: 2010 MY10
    Model: SS-V Special Edition
    Body: Sedan
    Transmission: Automatic
    Colour: Voodoo Blue
    Trim: Leather

I purchased this vehicle brand new. I chose automatic as I was specifically after the AFM (Active Fuel Management) which is not available with manual transmission.

Needless to say, I've fallen in love...

The vehicle is completely stock excepting the following items:

-Window Tinting (has been completed today, will post some pics after this weekend)
-Have installed the "smokers pack" to gain access to a cigarette lighter for GPS cord
-Have applied the Pontiac badge to the front of the vehicle
-Customised plates will be installed this weekend

    Stay tuned for more photos...

Can you get a close up of how you mounted the plate (hopefully you mounted it and it wasn't the dealer, who butcher the bar when they do it)

    Default congrats

Congrats on your new toy. You have the same colour as mine. I fell for the front end as soon as I walked into the showroom as its different. I am in Sydney and I am on the road at least 12 hours a day and I think I have seen maybe 10 of the special eds around. Any way enjoy your toy.

Yeah, I'll get some pictures of the number plate mount as soon as I have installed my custom plates.

No, the dealer unfortunately installed it and it HAS been butchered...ah well, Ya can't see it with the plates on anyway.

Yes, it still has the 12v plug in the centre console as standard, bugger of a place but ah well...I use the ashtray as a small compartments with the smokers pack.

Check out my fuel consumption on my first trip, approx 410km.

    My 2010 VE SS-V Sedan Special Edition-10..jpg

If ya can't see the image it says:

    Avg Speed: 99.6km/h
    Avg Fuel: 9.5l/100km

Very happy being that it's an 8 and I was playing with the accelerator for most of the trip. Oh and that was with the A/C on about 80% of the trip.

Really nice mate, and i would have done the same thing as you, the newer 6 speed autos are still a great gearbox with the added bonus of better fuel economy.

Do you have any plans for it in the way of exhaust/inatke? Unleash a few extra ponies plus it would help your highway economy figures.

    Cheers mate.

Yeah I definately plan to get an exhaust & OTR intake done then a dyno when cash allows.

You've hit the nail on the head with the reasoning behind the Auto. The gear change is quite fast and i don't get a tired left leg when travelling on the Monash every day in peak hour traffic both ways.

Bugger. Hey do the reverse sensors provide you with an image of a radar at the back of the car on your LCD screen? I've seen it in the Wagon version but it was factory installed.
