Hi Guys,
Thought I'd post some photos of my car! Recently got a full 3" VCM cat back exhaust with OTR, HPC coated extractors and a tune. I just love the sound and the new response of the car. Actually I wasn't going to do anything to my car as this is my very first Auto V8 (and not EVER buying an auto regardless of what the wife say), and after hearing and driving my mate's SS-V ute with the VCM exhaust, I just had to get mine done too!! The boys at VCM were absolutely awesome and the tune got me to 253.8rwkw. Also got some ferodo pads installed and some race fluid. My next investment will be a transmission cooler and then off to the track I go!
Actually, looking to replace the rims on the car and put some 20" gloss black rims with a stainless lip. After that, will be the front splits and perhaps a small amp!! Still reading the Car Audio threads! You boys are a bunch of shockingly bad influencers and every time I read a new thread, I want to do more to my car! hahahahaha
As you can see I also got the badges removed and relocated the SS-V badge to the front quarter panels. I think the cars look much cleaner without the multitude of badges! I had to have the chevy badges and got the dealer to put them on when I got the car along with getting it lowered by Walkinshaw using King springs.

very nice mate, gotta love black on the ve's! the otr suits the engine bay so well too
Hi guys
Got my new 20" rims and the ride is great! I went the staggered look and the deep dish at the rear just gives the car a great mean look! The rear are 275s. The only issue I have is the scrubbing and hope to get the guards rolled and replace the shocks. If any of you have any recommendations on shocks or places to get the guards rolled, please let me know
I got the tyres and the rims from TyrePower in Hawthorn and the boys there were awesome! Very easy to deal with and they have a great selection of rims! If anyone is looking for a great deal, just PM me and I will give you the contact details of the person to ask for.
Thanks.

The new wheels look awsome mate they definatly suit the wagon, as for shocks well i'd recommend the munroe gt ones i had em on my ssv with king springs ssls. They handled beautifully and the ride comfort was pretty decent, but if i was you i'd get a set of pedders coilovers these are a brilliant bit of kit(have em on mine) and the car just handles so much better and you have the ability to adjust the ride height aswell as bump and rebound. Go see John at Protek wheels & tyres in Oakleigh, excellent serice and very competetive prices.
Hey mate! Wagon looks unreal! Just wondering what percentage tint you got done? Am about to get my SS-V wagon tinted this week. Cheers
Wonderful looking machine here, well done on the mods so far.
Surprised just how good these wagons respond to visual mods. Very nice.
Cheers.
Mike
hows it sounds mate? i was thinking of getting one for my sedan.
thanks
Hi Craig,
As in the VCM system? I need to get my arse into gear and record the sound again because last time, there was soo much wind noise..it was distorted. I'll get around it it soon. I absolutely love the sound! Deep note and it is very quiet on idle and even when cruising but bold when you accelerate. Exactly what you want!
Cheers
Y try,
mate, thanks for the headsup re Protek.Met with John today and he is a really nice guy and showed me what he did with another SSV ute. They actually cut/trimmed it rather than trying to roll it because he said it was very tricky due to the paint type. He's going to do mine on Thursday! He is also going to be fitting the Pedders coil overs when I get some cash! He gave me a better price than any of the Pedders service centres!

loku16, that does look great! I was looking at getting a Wagoon for more practicality, but you can't get a factory sunroof and I love the roof (although I think the VY's was better and less noisy and I still had a sunglasses holder...idiots!)
Anyways it looks tops!! Nice Work!
Love the wagon mate..awesome! Great camera skills too! Have you got an slr or something?
Sticking a Chev badge on any Commodore is like putting a Nissan badge on a VL
EOI....VE SS 18" wheels x4 with 5000k's on new tread, 2 of have very minimal gutter rash (previous owner) otherwise like new send me a pm if interested.
haha nah not a fan of the chev badges..as per my display picture i like to keep things as aussie as possible..be proud of what we have. still a great looking wagon regardless. Im starting to get into photography in the last 12 months just havent justified spending $1000-1500 on a 400d or something yet.

looks mint mate!
love the rims, if i was going to buy they are the ones i'd get.
i think the wagons look great, nice and tough for a family car
got any pics of the painted calipers?
Some people say less talk more action, i say more torque less traction.
Check Out My Rig Monaro CV8z![]()
Good to see another happy VE SSV black wagon owner
Thanks for the compliments gents. I'll get some shots soon of the calipers (when I wash the car). I was going to paint them red but i'm glad I went with the black paint. It blends in really well.
I might also go back to the lion badge after I get it painted black. But going to black out the gold in the chev badge first and the chrome strip in the front grille. See how that looks and then if I'm over it, I'll go back to the holden badge!![]()
Very nice man!!! If you don't mind me asking, what sort of $ am I looking at for the exhaust setup / tune that you did? Like you said Im after something thats fairly quiet until you give it some and it opens up which is why I originally went for the Varex but now looking around to see whats available - PM me?
Cheers
