Hi Guys,
Past couple of months I been asking help and questions to clear my doubts regarding a VE GTS conversion. And I am really thankful to everyone on this forum who helped me to get an understanding of what need to be done.
Last week I bought a Red Hot Omega with 100K on clock. I pay $13K and spent $340 for service (it was due), $300 for RWC (one lights was not working and I didn't noticed while I picked the car. A few hundreds for the stamp duty. All around $14K
Car got an 18" black alloy wheels (not holden) with new tyres and SSV spoiler, Chev grill and bow-tie badge. Thats the current mode.
My Plans: HSV E1 front conversion, Side skirts, Lowered to SSL all around with matching shocks, two tone leather interior with HSV embroider, Reverse camera or censor, New custom plates, On the back I am not planning much on this time, just removing the mud flaps, remove the letters "commodore & Omega". leave the chev badge, also put a chev badge on the bonnet. Some audio upgradestock one doesn't sound's much good.
What I have done so far is:
Booked for painting the kit for $1550 including some parts and a 3 year warranty on parts, painting & Fitting
Included: Painting, fitting, after market fog lights, genuine HSV bonnet extension, Genuine Clubsport side skirts, wiring the lights and a separate switch, 3 year warranty.
Updates: they charge only $1450 cash
I picked up a used genuine HSV front bar for $230, genuine mesh inserts for $100.
Update : Lowered using SSL kings all around, put 19" HSV wheels on it
Got an Idea on how much the interior and suspension will cost.
Any ideas or thoughts are welcome.

Yeah I know mate, I have seen your ride and commented on that as well, the rims looks amazing, how much you pay for it? Anyways i am not planning for it as the tyres are really on mine. Once it finished will go for bigger once.
rims where $2400 including fitment and wheel alignment
Not bad, but anyways its a nice looking rim.
Done the front conversion and side skirts, was busy with work so couldnt get time to take the photos, uploading now, look at my thread

cheers mate =D
Lowered using SSL king springs all around and put HSV 19" wheels on it, pics uploaded
It's looking good mate. Needs the rear bar though - looks a little front heavy from the profile shot. The colour match looks good.
I am not going for a HSV rear conversion, as its not worth for the money, anyways I am going to put a twin exhaust from a gts
hmmmm.. do you need to do a whole rear conversion for just the bar? I know it gets pricey to change the lights - but the bar itself shouldn't be too bad, assuming it's a straight swap. I'd be inclined to go for at least an SS bar with a bit more meat on it. Just a thought.
maybe this one would work. Sydney Special Vehicles: For Car Body Kits, HSV Parts, Mag Wheels, Tail Lights, Bonnet Scoops and More
edit. scratch that.. it's fibreglass.
Dont know, a GTS rear bar will be a stright swap or not, by the looks of it, not.. but i will confirm it with some one, also will only go for it , if I can get an exact matching color, buying one bar and painting it cost more.. bars we can get around 200$ mark i think.. but prime nd paint another 300-400..anyway if I need to put the twin exhaust i need to change the rear diffusser to a twin one, I am keeping my eye on ebay..
thats fiber glass with the price of plastic bar..![]()
There was a gts rear bar on ebay.. but it was silver..
I think ebay will be your best bet. Or wreckers.
I just think it needs something to balance out the front end. But it looks great mate. keep going!
will definitely look into it...cheers mate
hey booran brother :P
well done mate looks shit hot
Go Hard Or Go Home
Now I am bit sad, as the front bar hit on the hump and got a crack![]()
Started a mortgage.. quoted $500 for fixing..
hey mate how are your foglights connected?
