    Default My VE2 SS

Hi, I live near Newcastle NSW and have recently bought a new VE Series 2 SS manual.
Loving the car, very nice to travel in either around town or out on the highway. The ride is firm and sporty without being too harsh, glides over the rough patches that are inevitably encountered but feels stong when poked into a tighter corner. Nice amount of power from the 6.0L, I especially like the low down torque it has right down from 2k rpm, and it just keeps pumping all the way to 6k rpm. The manual gearbox is nice, but it would definately benifit by having a ripshift installed. The iQ system is what sealed the deal for me, its got all the features I enjoy in a modern infotainment system.

I dont have any immediate plans to mod the car much, already had a nice tint done and changed the gear knob over to a leather one, got some SS sill plates coming soon too. Just a set of 20s and lowering to personalise it for now. Furthur down the track I will be looking at a Walkinshaw (full system) power pack, ripshift, Konis, big brakes and maybe a S/C.... one day.

I just checked out the KPM website, they've got some very nice looking gear, 350kw at the flywheel without a cam change sounds like the go.

Thought id post a bit of an update.
Got the SS sill plates, leather gear knob and leather console lid in.
Found a genuine 12v boot power socket kit on ebay for $40 so I snapped that up, makes taking my small fridge in the car a whole lot easier.
I decided against the Walkinshaw power pack, going to be a 2 stage mod instead. Had a Xforce 2.5 inch catdack system fitted, sounds awesome and the car probably goes just a little bit better too.
Next up will be a OTR CAI and tune, but not right away.

I can see what your saying, in the picture it does look that way. Funny thing is, looking at the car it looks like the left is straight but the right drops to the right slightly. Either way it needs a touch-up.

    Awesome car mate :-)

Glad to see another local newcastle user on here !

That spot at warners is a great spot to take photos at in the middle of the day, stands the car right out.

If I havent already said, well done!
