Default Lara, my 60th Anniversary Calais V V8

    Hi guys,

Been lurking for a couple of years, and recently joined the forums; thought it was about time that I introduced myself and my ride.

I bought my 60th Anniversary VE Calais V about two months ago, and have recently named her 'Lara'.
This is my first Holden and coming from a Hilux, it's a bit of an upgrade in terms of luxury and power. Being my first V8, I'm still excited to jump in the driver's seat.

I haven't done much to the car yet, but I have some plans.
So far, I have had an 18% CXP tint applied by OzTint & a hefty audio upgrade that is still in progress (details to come).
In the future, I will be considering aspiration, exhaust and tuning for efficiency & sound, wheels and suspension. All the standard stuff.

Anyway, I'll leave you with a pic I took after giving it a quick clean. (I missed some bits)

    Thanks fellas,

I actually set out looking to get a black Calais V, but when I saw this colour, 'Evoke', I knew it was a match for the car.
It looks much better in real life: the contrasting colour when it's in the shadows compared to in the light is cool.
It gets hot in there on a warm day though...

Yeaaahhh not a bad colour I guess.... I friggen love it! I'm a little bias

Two things yours has that mine doesn't which make me super jealous... Sunroof and 2 extra cylinders!

Looking great! If you get rid of your rims let me know if you're willing to sell me one (unlikely I know, but may as well ask ) enjoy it!

I think KITT needs to be a little lower and have those wheels sprayed black.

    Nice looking calais though.

Hey guys, thanks for the comments, can't wait to get cracking with some upgrades.

Sorry Mike, rims are on the cards, but not just yet. thinking about it though, it might be hard to sell an incomplete set if you only take one. If it comes up, i'll let you know.

Kitt looks good. could do with a tint, but there's not too much to change on the 60th. it's already a comfortable car. just needs to be a bit louder.
