Looks good man...don't stress over the exhaust system id probly look at a ss/sv6 body kit if your looking for that sort of look?

Dash Gauge Install
Was just thinking a new exhaust would be a cheap power boost for around $250 total
yeah thats a good price the power boost wont be massive its more a mental thing because it's louder you get a sense of more power and speed if anything you might gain a few kw

brand new nissan omega..
Hey all
So a little time ago i finished the carputer this is what it looks like
That is the custom front end software i have scripted in xcode.
That is how it all sits in the dash the blue thing is a Griffin Powermate
That is OBD2 mac software called "movi"
More mods coming in the future....
Yep it is now my old Macbook pro 13 (2009) sitting in the boot attached with velcro :-)
The MBP is powered by a 12v DC to DC power converter.
It has a 5m HDMI cable running to the 7 inch lilliput 800x480 touchscreen. OS X would not support the res so i used SwitchResX to correct it.
There is also a 5m usb cable running from the boot up behind the head unit where it is attached to a powered usb hub. Coming off this hub is the powermate, touchscreen, OBD2 connecter and the sound card (witch runs to the rear aux (help with this was found at "http://forum.grrrr8.net/archive/index.php/t-13238.html")
There is also a Telstra USB internet stick and a gps unit attached in the boot.
The software that it is currently running is iTunes, Google earth, movi and my front end software witch combined with the powermate can control most of the software. Just in case something goes wrong i have a wireless keyboard in the glove box.
Oh n currently i am trying to integrate an app called nocturne for a "night mode"
There is more but currently i am forgetting it :-)
Just an update on the mods
Just got some projector headlights from ebay and installed them (cost around $350 all up), they look good and only took 2-3h to install. Oh n i have got HID high beams.
Also while i had the front bar off I installed fog light bezels planning something interesting with them.
These are the new lights before the install
This is the stock lights (Day)
This is the stock lights (Night)
This is the new lights installed (Day)
This is the new lights installed (Night)
And finally the new fog light bezels
The front end before
The front end after

Oh and i have debadged the "Omega" and "Commodore" from the back end looks much cleaner :-)
So what do you think so far??
Should get black mesh or paint yours
Lights look sweet!
Where did you pick up the lights? carputer is pretty sweet man. Loving the lower grille bit how is it secured?
Very nice work mate keep it coming.
Hey thanks the lights r from ebay Holden Commodore VE HSV SSV SS SV6 E2 Head Lights PAIR (eBay item 200609210430 end time 16-Jul-11 12:51:46 AEST) : Cars, Bikes, Boats
The grill is pressed aluminium, you can buy sheets of it and cut it to size. I cut mine about 5cm larger on all the edges and folded them to contour the inside of the front bar then i used.... don't laugh Meccano bolts in stealthy locations to hold it in.
Hey so I was thinking of putting ssv taillights in what do you all think??

Fitting VE Calais Tail Lights onto VE Omega....Possible?
Check out my VE Commodore My Omega Mods
might as well complete the set....i did it to mine. i didnt like the red taillights contrasting so much, i think it cleans the rear of the car up
nice man i really like the green lights where you get boot light from i need a blue one![]()
I have redone mine with 2 of these Green 30cm Flexible Under Car 12-LED Strip Neon Light (eBay item 140562078024 end time 08-Jul-11 19:23:41 AEST) : eBay Motors
They provide much more light than in the pic
To do it i ripped out the stock light and hooked up the 2 led strips in parallel
Take your choice out of these
blue led strip 12v | eBay
Get the ones that lie flat like this Blue-12V 30cm Flexible Waterproof SMD LED Light Strip | eBay
They have adhesive on the back and i also used cable ties to hold them on.
