Default 2011 SII VE SSV Ute (Sandman Canopy, Panel Van - call it what you will)

Hey all, just upgraded my 2009 SV6 Sportwagon to this SSV SII beast the other day.
I wanted the extra space in the back for carting gear and camping etc, also miss having a real panel van but am way to used to modern cars with all the mod cons.

    Specs:

Stock 2011 VE SII SSV ute in Karma (One and only Karma PV so far)
AMCAT 'Sandman' canopy (really recommend these guys, fantastic product and really great blokes)
    Lowered (Dealer)
Reverse sensors and reverse camera (Dealer) - displaying thru IQ unit!

Definitely need to join a car club or something and get out and cruise!

Will post better pics when I dig out my proper camera in a couple of weeks

Yeah was a bit of a chance with the colour, since there are only a few around (I've never seen a VE one on the road) and Karma is a bit of an old man colour on the Calais and stuff.

Very happy how it turned out though, think the subtle colour tones it down a little.

    Thanks for all your feedback!

No performance mods planned as such, have pre-wired under the tub liner for a full van deck out though.

Needs more airbrushing. But honestly looks good to me. Works well.

Hey, no shots of the inside as yet, will have to get onto that.
The Canopy comes carpet lined and I plan to either carpet line the tubliner or take it out, add sound proofing to the floor and carpet the tray.
I am also getting some 6x9s put in the back which will be hooked up to the IQ unit as it has the setup for rear fading just disabled from the factory.
I also pre-wired under the tub liner 2 x power from the battery, a pair of speaker wires and a AV RCA for future DVD.

So awesome mate, very jealous. Hows this sound, Ill transfer $50 into your account and we can work out the postage on the canopy later? Yeah? Cheers mate, look forward to it arriving on my doorstep

Have you thought about running the rear out wires from the head unit to an amp with line in in the canopy? Reason I say this is you could wire the remote trigger wire off a relay so that the amp only turns on when you open the tail gate and could also have a manual switch tucked away if you wanna be able to sit in the back with it closed up and still listen to music. Thats what I have planned anyway.

Haha yeah sure, too bad its bonded on the the car otherwise you might have had me there!

Yeah, I plan to pop out the window or get a custom made sliding window so I can reach/crawl thru from the back to the front etc.

Since the subs behind the seats pack enough bottom end for me with the additional 6x9s in the back it should be pretty sweet.

Nothing yet, been trying to catch up with other owners for ideas for the back. Def will put in 6x9s in the rear and take the window out.
I HAVE to upgrade the exhaust and/or add a power pack or something, can't even hear it idling haha
