Any pics mate keen to see the hight. Future mods seem nice - i wish i had a V8.

Btw i think your gona find that you might have to change your exhaust to 3inch with the cam as 2.5 is ristrictive, i have read

Welcome to the forum and congrats buddy

Thanks mate, il try and up load some photos now. Yeah im contemplating upgrading my cat back to a 3" before i do my extractors, but im unsure weather the extra money is worth the gain?? i was gonna go for the 1 7/8th pacies to give the 2.5 adequate flow for a cam.. any input would be appreciated.

Nice car mate, very mean in black!

Just did a road trip to Melbourne & back 2 weeks ago, found my bee sting aerial was crap but had my stock aerial in the car so just swapped it for the run. The bee sting is fine for around town though.

Nice car mate. Really likeing the matte finish in the grill. Those 22s are huge lol. Was going to recommened go the boot lid but i see its on your future mods list, but also put on that list a G8 diffuser. Also mate those type Rs are a beast, cant wait for my type Xs

As for the 1 7/8th pacies to give the 2.5 adequate flow for a cam - i would not have a clue mate. I only said the 2.5inch would be ristrictive because of what i have heard. All i know is that people on this forum, go for the 3inch if they going for cam. All the best mate.

EDIT: Juzo's MY08.5 VE V8 Calais has 2.5 with extractors and highflow cat and he is running a cam. Maybe have a chat to him? But then again his one is KPM and yours is XFORCE( not dising XFORCE, i just bought my own and im installing today, just KPM is better :P )

Also somewhere in the thread i remember somone saying that he wont the rwkw he was after because he went 2.5 , if he went 3inch then he would of got it. So just have a read and maybe just have a chat to him.

Sorry cant be much help, havnt experineced it yet

Thanks Hussysv6, and yeah they got intense bass man lol ur type x's are going to be amazing trust me! i want the G8 Diffuser, but i dont want to start cutting my rear bar to mount it, only thing stopping me getting it..

Regards to the exhaust, im going to leave it for now.. il be buying my VCM OTR hopefully in a few weeks and then il buy my cam and all the associated gear with it in the next couple months.. then ill work out what to do with the exhaust then i guess. Thanks heaps for ur input mate

And i understand about the diffuser thing , exact reason why im not going for it just yet.

    UPDATE:

i have upgraded the old 2.5" cat back to a dual 3" X Force, and also installed a VCM OTR.. must say, definitly more poke with the upgrades even though its not tuned.

Also added a rear lip wing for looks, getting 5% tint put on soon, and rear boot lip moulded.

on all ve's the rear guards have a mounting 'bracket/tab' to hold both guards together. This is visible on the inside of the guards, especially if you run your finger on the inside of the guard. This "tab" really eats away at how much offset can be acheived. so basically take your tyre off and grind this "tab" all the way down untill its flush with the body and then re-locate the screw way further back so it holds the guards together again. Its pretty simple ive done it to 3 or 4 ve's now, that however is a very basic run down of how to do it and without photos it probly sounds like jiber-ish lol
