Just recieved my first photo's of part 1 of project car from factory in Melbourne. Cant wait to get it back and take out for a cruise, only had the car 2 days before I shipped it south for panel van conversion.
Now to spark what i think might be a volatile reaction, what are the veiws on pontiac front ends on commodores? (bracing my self)

DEAD ON ARRIVAL
it looks really good mate, well done. personally think it needs to be lowered though.. lol
Is the rear wall of the ute gone so you can crawl from the drivers compartment to the van? Not a fan of the Pontiac front ends but each to their own
Cheap, fast, reliable.....you only get to choose two.
All you need now is a comfy mattrass in the back and a sticker on the back windscreen saying "When the car is rockin', don't come knocking"

Nice ute/pannel van, I prefer the Holden front end and I'm not sure if the ponitic front end would fit a series 2 but I may be wrong.
What other plans do you have for it?
the rear window and panel stays in and the canopy just sits over the roof and tray as a permanant fixture. pontiac front ends fits on a serries 2 as long as you fit serries 1 headlights, i think i would like the look but not 100% sure if i could handle the greif from die hards, jury is still out, will wait and see what response i get here first. going to get lowered and outrage sound system, everything is still on the drawing board.
DEAD ON ARRIVAL
Just rang transport company for a rough idea when it arrives back in Townsville and its the 28th November, maqn the post is slow out of the south, dont think i can wait that long![]()

The Pontiac front end would look great on the van but I wouldn't do it without fitting the s2 lights though. A good plastic welder should be able to sort out the s2 light fitment
That looks ####ing awesome!
Saying no to the Pontiac front end
no to ponitac. you would have to go back to series 1 headlights as well. which would just destroy the look of it.
more low.. more loud... cover inner walls with suede and chuck in a matress...job done
+1 No Pontiac front end.
This looks absolutely killer though, shag pile on the inner walls of the canopy? pimp
I'm very surprised that Holden don't offer this as a dealer fitted P&A option. Short of the combo thing there are no real panelvans on the market in Aus. I'm sure there are thousands of electrictions that miss their old XF Pano's who would like a new van.
Reaper
dont change the front as it looks better, i would get an vinyl mural put on the canopy sides, cars nice BTW
The Mad Dutchman
That looks wickedJust going off your sig, did you use to/still drive a hearse with a coffin in the back as a daily an work at the BP that was in north ward ???

+50 to no pontiac front end. That looks awesome just the way it is, and would look even better lowered.
busted, i did work at BP, and i had the grey ford hearse, had a couple since then, but have moved on to the General, can do so much more with them. have the hearse plates on the van, so a theme might come out of that for the mural, just have to watch what i put on as im in the bussiness now, dont want to upset my employer. well the 5k i was going to spend on the front might go to better options.
DEAD ON ARRIVAL
if you like the pontiac front end, go for itpersonaly i would get one for myself but it looks alittle too calais-y to me so im like cbf for paying overprice calais looking front haha but ur car looks sick
Small world, I used to live up the road an come in to that BP all the time (when i was living in townsville) we had some good convo's about DOA that you had at the time. Dont know if you remember me this is my ride, had the same NT plates on it when i lived there but with the stock rims.: Dlfhub's vx ss

if your gna change anything on the front change the headlights to ssv/redline, other than that....WOW!!
Yo.
What can I say but
No to Pontiac front end (maybe the HSV Front), but would lower, get canopy pictured up (with racks for the boards), and put a Monaro (or E2) bonnet on it.
You could remove rear window, get it cut out a bit larger, rubber line it then sha-bam a crawl though to the
new room.

Well the pontiac front end has been canned, but going with a bonnet, not sure wich one maybe E2, like the idea of cutting the back out so that has been added to the list, deffo on a lower, as for the DOA, not sure i can get the same effect being big bird yellow, but im still in planning stage so anything is possible. 9radio active or biohazard theme has popped up a few times)
The worse thing about a vivid imagination is it usually cost me a bloddy fortune, but worth it in the end, lol![]()
