    Default 2007 ve gts

just a couple of pics of my new ride.
it has been lowered quite a bit, has a K&N air filter, pacemaker extractors, and a custom APC exhaust 2 1/2 exhaust system making it good for 290rkw.

Looks the goods mate. Went to look at a black GTS sale recently - very nice.

If your getting 290rwkw with just that then hurry up and get a VCM OTR CAI & tune - you'll be pushing 310rwkw + for $1000 extra

You should look at painting the wheels black.

Where abouts in Adelaide are ya? i'll keep my eye out

up tea tree gully way mate. yer seriously considering the black wheel look as it does look shh hot. taking it to my local mechanic next week for a service and will ask about options on OTR.
do you think many people on here will be going on the Dec 17th crissy cruise? Im keen to meet a few people with similar rides to get some ideas of which direction I should take the car as far as upgrades etc.

A good OTR and mafless tune will actually get you to the 290rwkw mark. After that the best options are either cam upgrade or supercharger. Whilst supercharging may seem expensive initially, all the other mods you need to get the same power will end up costing you a similar amount - and be illegal.

    Great looking ride mate.
Did you pick it up with the mods or have had them done since you got it?

No he thinks he has 290rwkw. I doubt it very much, unless it's the worlds best freak engine.

lol settle down, it's called a joke. My point was, there is no way an LS2 with full exhaust and intake will make 290rwkw. So either his power figure is b/s, he has an '08 model E1 or someone has swapped his LS2 for an LS3.

But thanks all the same for schooling me on the difference between the LS2 and LS3. Clearly someone who has SilverVH as his nick would have no idea otherwise

    Its ok, I'm only stirring.

My mates LS3 went 350ish through a manual with full exhaust, cam and MAF retained tune. The only problem with the LS2 are the heads, everything else about them are great and it doesn't take much to get them to respond powerwise. Swapping heads to L92 being the first port of call

ok guys maybe I should put this to rest as my first post might not have been as detailed as it should have. just picked this car up last week. the guy had it modded when new at Australia Performance Center in perth and it made 347kw @ the flywheel. now im not and expert on these things at all so I will be taking it to my local mechanic for a service shortly and dyno. it is a manual 6.0L and I know there can be differences from dyno to dyno as well so I guess we shall see exactly what its making at the wheels. 290rwkw is what the guy told me and seeing this was one of his slowest cars I saw no reason not to believe him. will let you's know how I go.

I'll be surprised if it cracks 270rwkw with the standard intake, even with an aftermarket filter. But I hope I'm wrong.

hey guys, update on cars power figures.
got dyno'd yesterday and comes out at 284rwkw which is pretty close to the mark advertised i guess.
now all I need is to supercharge it as suggested.
any ideas on how much gain I would get and what brands should I be looking for?
also any good workshops in Adelaide as the wanker scratched one of my rims and now I have go through insurance bs after only owning it for 2 weeks.

    cheers
