Default Perfect blue HSV E3 GTS and white HSV Clubsport R8

Heys guys so a while back I bought a 2009 HSV VE Clubsport 6 speed sitting on Pentagons. Soon after Dad decided to up-grade his SSV being Ignition Orange with black stripes he wanted something that stands out from the crowd yet again. Today he picked up this MY12 HSV E3 GTS 6 speed, and for that little extra something its perfect blue (Brock VK colour) this is the 1st HSV in this colour we have seen so far they only have released the SV6 sedan and ute in the colour with SS and SSV's getting the colour in a few weeks.

    so here's a heaps of picture's of our LS3 powered baby's

My car just before I picked up my car

when we walk into Metro HSV and stumbled across these

only 27km's on the GTS most of the staff at Metro HSV hadn't even seen the car

    LS3 donks

    325 and 317

    GTS trim

    GTS trim again

the plans for the cars are pretty much the same

    09 Clubsport
    -lower springs
    -VCM OTR cold air
    -E85 set up and tune
    -3" exhaust
-LS series dress up caps in the enigne bay
-split engine covers (red or white can't decide atm)

    E3 GTS
    -VCM OTR cold air
-LS series dress up caps in the enigne bay
-split engine covers (thinking grey like in the bumper)
    -black E3 wheels

Man those E3's are ugly! Give me the white Clubby ANY day! I love the blue, and the E3 interior but from outside they're just slapped together from the Pontiac parts bin. A a shame really.

what drugs are you on? They look nothing like the Pontiac G8s which LE SSVs got the pontiac kit last year.

The new IQ system is amazing tho, tell the driver tyre pressure's, G force on the MRC, open's the value in the bi-module exhaust, has a stop watch n track data, logs information which the owner can transfer the a home pc easily it blew me away.

Not ignorant at all... My comments were entirely about how god damned ugly they made the E3. Which is subjective of course.

Holden had so many left over Pontiac parts once the VE Pontiac exports were canned that they HAD to use them. Hence the new front end of the HSV (no, I know not the front bar) and the so call "Special Edition" SSVs. The front and rear bars of the E3s are just plain ugly all on their own.

Other than looks, the E3 is a decent car. On looks alone, the E1 and E2 wins hands down.

Probably not the smartest idea to call someones brand new car ugly. If you don't like it don't comment

Ducker85 that car is awesome looking foward if I had the cash i'd own 1 in a heartbeat

i think you will find that the pontiac front end excess stock was used for the ss series 1 cars, and by memory at the time the dealers were selling 1800 units of these excess stock and were used up well before the e3 came out

    Both awesome Vehicles.

However, the front of the 09 clubsport works so much better than the front of the E3.
The same goes for the Pentagons over whatever monstrosity of metal has been put on the GTS.

Apart from those two ungodly errors in design, as said above, awesome cars mate.

    Agree with Dave,

The E3 GTS wheels are disgusting, never been a fan...other than that...I love them. E3 front bar looks better IMO

Look mate I mainly posted this to show off the new colour if you dont like it or your jealous cos you can't afford one, please shut the hell up and keep it to your self.
p.s. E2's and E3's have the same bumper and daytime running lights :/

you dont like my silver Penatagons? they sh*t all over those black n machined copy's everyone's got. Both Dad and I agree the machined tri-spoke thingy on the the E2/3 GTS wheels are ugly, but luckly we have solid balck ones in the shed at home for it

Cheers for the postive comments guys

If you dont like the E2 and E3 series I dont care keep it to your self. Both cars are bog stock of the factory floor, where I dont care if you dislike a modifcation these are factory standard cars!!!

yeah E1 GTS 20's. I want to get some E1 Clubbie and do them balck too or some SSV 19x8. yeah E3's get a dark grey (charcoal) and machined which im not a fan of. But mine are bright silver and I think for stock wheels they suit it well. Abit devoabout how nothing fits over the stupid HSV brakes atm although there's some aftermarkets out now just nothing I like.

    Wow, up yourself much.

Jealousy is a given. And so is people's opinion on a public forum.

Cop the criticism or don't post simple.

up myself? its not my car....... but it you knew that because you read the story. Im sticking up for people here

like I said its a brand new factory stock car.

If you dont like E3s dont go around telling everyone who's bought one that you think there very expensive pride n joy, looks like shit. thats just pathetic and we dont encourage hating on these forum's do we?

They are both beautiful cars, I do prefer the clubby. Only because of the front end of the gts

cheers man a mate got some back home for $1000 without tyres I just dont have the money atm cos I smashed up my teeth really bad this year and my Calais International was stolen a burnt out so im saving hard to try n get back in front. I have even thought of selling the clubbie but the hole reason I bought it was for a new car after pouring thousands into my old VT which just kept braking down time after time.
