Nice car mate.
Which bolt are you missing? I thought I was missing the front left one untill i had a proper look inside of it.
Very nice and clean mate, should look good with the ssv wheels on it.

Yeh thats what I first thought.
Have another look. Actually get right over it and look straight down. The bolt is quite a bit deeper down if that makes sense.
Only 6 bolts holding the manifold down. 4 in the middle 1 front right and 1 back left. From memory
Dunno what the front left one is for? Cant remember..
The car is nice mate!! The upcoming mods look good too! Would look real good with some calais V tail lights though!
Quick question about the airhammer, where did u get the bit around the hole for the heat shield?? (looks much neater! guessing DIY?) Also how did u mount the heat shield? atm mine is fixed in with cable ties lol
Thanks! yeah, I've been thinking of Calais V headlights and taillights but they are on the end of the to-do list atm :P
That came with it. I got the Airhammer kit from MACE. I actually haven't fixed mine in, haha.. it's just sitting there as it was a bitch to get in to begin with. To make it properly fit I needed to unscrew the window washer filler pipe, otherwise that got in the way - so at the moment that's loose as well! I should look at that soon.
Fair enough about the lights, dw the list will find a way to keep on growing haha
Ah thats interesting, got mine off the seller from ebay and it didnt come with that but was a while ago oh well just might have to find a way to do it myself..
haha yeah i understand your pain, mine was just sitting there for ages until i decided to clap it down some how, the cable ties have worked so far
good luck with the rest of the mods mate![]()
That's a mint car. It is a big step up from the VT. Enjoy your ride mate![]()
Heres my G ride my 08 ss v ute standard as but hopefully not for long

Looking at the sill, it's sitting at the same height front at rear. And you certainly don't want to end up with reverse rake by just lowering the rear... Wheels look way better than Berlina wheels too. But brakes painted red? Looks shit on bottom end cars imo. I reckon you should go for a polished look on the calipers.![]()
I've got the set of FE2's (front and rear) springs so hopefully shouldn't be an issue. The standard suspension is bit too boaty for my liking. Yes, can't agree more - the standard Berlina wheels look pretty average. I don't think anything under 18" should come with the VE's - the wheel arch is too big for smaller wheels.
Polished look, eh? That's a good idea, actually. Have you done it yourself, or has anyone else? Photos and a few guides wouldn't go astray![]()
Check out Troys thread for polished callipers, imo they looks sick. Oh and your ride looks pretty tops to

Yep that is it, as soon as i finish something another cool mod comes along. There's always something to do on it, eh? :P

Well, I should have the FE2 suspension in on Friday. I've also discovered she's slowly loosing coolant so having a pressure test done then too! Just Commodore Spares have a replacement dash strip but I haven't heard back from them in some time...
Had a bit of spare time before a recent cruise, so took some photos

NOW THE NEW PROUD OWNER OF A 2008 VE R8 CLUBBY WOO!!
I'm fairly sure I could have done it myself (or at least with a mate) but I figure suspension is a large component of the only thing that keeps my car on the road, and I don't want to potentially mess it up. Plus, the mechanic owes me one indirectly so it's not going to be too much.
ahyea fair enough thenwhat springs are u puttin on them or just leavin the standard fe2 springs on?
