Talking My NEW car!!!! and my VS

Hey people,

Just bought a brand spanking new VE Berlina!!!!!! Got the car with 5K's on the clock.

Going to do minor modifications to this car (Worried about warranty),
but definitely need bigger wheels (Going for 19"), get it lowered a bit more and may be will do something to give it some extra go.

In some of these pics is also my loved VS, she spanks HARDER than my VE!!!! Way harder. (Good news to VS owners out there, they aren't that bad when compared to a V6 VE!!!!)

VE= 180kw
VS= approx 154Kw, (some work done to it)

Build quality is way better and the ride is very smooth but, electronic throttle is no match to my VS, takes a while to respond to the pedal. I prefer the old way (CABLE!!)

Anyway good car and I'm very happy with it even tho my VS goes better.

Big congrats man, that is one sexy car. I'm jealous.
You haven't mentioned the handling though - presumably that is quite a bit better than the VS?

well, The VS is tighter around corners and bit stiff. but the VE handles quite well just can't go around corners as fast as the VS.

Nice VE mate, you should of optioned it with 19's or 20's that way you can legally go to 21's or 22's. Well done on the purchase.

Yeah but the funds were tight at the time. So I said to myself that I can live with for the time being and save up for a really good rims. By the way they are 17"s they look smaller cos of the high profile tires.

yeah is lil small but much much lighter than the VE. But for ride enjoyment I prefer the VS and for ride quality/comfort the VE.

I'm just bit disappointed with the alloytech's performance compared to the ecotec, I was expecting a bit more go from it.

So no regrets with the VE then?
Why did you pick the VE Berlina variant??
The only thing i didnt like about the berlina was the fake looking wood grain strip on the dash.
What are you goin to do with the VS??
There surely must be a heap more way cooler things over the VS???
I hear what you say about the VS going harder but at the end of the day the VE has the more kilowatts aswell.
The reason for so many questions is i love my car but one day it will have to go and im just doin my homework for the VE.
The other car im looking at *and i dare say* is a Mazda 6!!
Im a Holden devotee and the thought of crossing over to Mazda/Ford is not an easy one. Holden dont have a car thats like a Mazda 6 (sorry Epica your out) and by the time that a new Torana or whatever its goin to be called it will be to late and too dear. VE will be in my price range in the next year or two.

Nah my car hasn't got the fake strip if you look in the pics, its got the calais dash strip!!!

The thing is that I spent quite amount of $$ on the VS to make it go harder and it may look standard from the outside but its a beast on the inside!!!!

I'm actually very happy with the purchase of the VE as I could not afford the Calais, but now I finished spending on my VS so I will be doing up the VE to make it go harder.

Although the alloytec has more kilowatts, it does not mean it will go harder because the weigh of the VE is pulling it down and also the lack of torque in these engines. Anyway money will be spent on the car to make it go better, just gotta save up now! Electronic throttle is not as good as it seems.

I'm gonna keep the VS till it dies, I just can't bear to see it in the hands of someone else's. So not selling it.
