Can i just ask what best time you have run? Id imagine a very low 12.
Why did you go with the CSV otr? I have heard nothing but bad reviews about these.
Anyways, looking good!
edit: Sorry would be a highish 12? Didnt realise how heavy these ****ers were!!

i have only been once to the drags and it was my first time ever.
ran a 13.5 with bad axle tramp and a wet track as after that it got cancelled due to the on and off rain.
i also forgot to take off at the time of installation the rubber seal that seals the bonnet to the front of the body so i was basically cutting air flow off to the DTI DOH!!!! which meant it was sucking hot engine bay air, pulling timing out,etc....such a newb at this drag business
going back this wednesday as it looks like no rain so should be right for a high to mid 12s like u say on street tyres
still have stock clutch so not sure how long it will last
waiting on a anti axle tramp kit from Fulcrum Suspensions to arrive here then launching these heavy things will be easier!
i went for the CSV DTI cos of the proven back to back results on dyno and track, the fact its the only OTR for the VE currently
What are the bad reviews you have heard about it?
Whats wrong with it?

LOL, seems everyone does the same thing first few runs ever My first ever runs at Calder were in an RX2 that eventually did a 10.1. The first run i did was 15 because i didnt have traction almost the whole track. Best cars to learn straight line driving in though.
Look forward to seeing what time you can get out of her once you pick it up though, very impressive cars considering their weight.
As for the OTR i have just had a couple of guys down here who have bought one complain of bad airflow. So really it is literally what i have heard. They do look the best out of the lot though including the ones in the VT-VZ range.

cool...thanks for the well wishes.
well on the dyno it picked up 21rwkw with a mafless tune
i had bad airflow at the drags coz i forgot to take off the rubber seal that runs under the bonnet nearly the whole way and seals it infront of the DTI....lesson learnt i guess...hahaha
now i just gotta convert it to some decent times at the track.
although now that i have the launch sussed hopefully i wont damage her like the first night on the track
will keep all posted on what the times i end up getting. just having a ball out at the drags, auto test, sprint days and running around barbagello race track...

Race track days are always fun, although not good on tyres and brakes

hi mate, BEAUTIFUL car you have there, im a big fan of the VE range, i drive a VY II though haha but doesnt matter, still good enough, i am looking at purchasing VE SSV rims sometime in the near future - probably in about a month to two months. Reading ur thread you mentioned wheel upgrade for your car some time soon, just wondering, if you would be interested in selling the originals, name ur price, im from melbourne, i will cover + organise shipping.
Cheers - Neb

rims where a definate as i was gonna get a nice big tax return to cover them....then tax man took it all away
possibly might be changing wheels in the next 2months or so...still saving and deciding whether to go CAM, RIMS, STEREO, etc....or maybe all
as i cant fit MT Streets or sticky tyres for the track on the 19" rims i will probably sell them and have to buy some track rims...17" or 18"...so will let ya know
