the brakes fit the SS 18" and SSV 19" OEM rims so these new rims are supposed to have same clearance and X factor as them....only putting them on will confirm it

pics of AP Racing brakes on....
i fear they will look small with the 20" rims on
    FRONTS

    REARS

the rear AP rotors were bigger than the stock fronts!
these pics with the 19" SSV rims really dont do the brakes justice...but damn do the stop...absolutely love them and finally the weak point of the SSV is no longer

and my favourite image from the cam install thanks to jnr

Very nice Deano! Can't wait to see the new rims on it. Decent brakes work wonders for drivability I reckon and those AP Racing ones are no doubt even better than my Brembo (aka HSV) brakes.

I spoke to Sonny from Marrano's in Sydney today... Looking at just over $4,200 drive in - drive out for cam, valve springs, OTRCAI and tune. Once I have that done, I'll get a small chrome sticker made up that fits neatly under the 307 on the boot lid: "rwkw"

the car sits level...it is to be exact 5mm lower at the rear than the front since the stereo gear went in

350mm front from centre of rim to guard
345mm rear from centre of rim to guard

dont like the whole dump the ass and have the front in the air...

My opinion, drop the rear more. The overall lines of the car make it appear to be higher at the rear. Who cares what the rim to guard measurements are if the sill at the bottom of the doors doesn't sit level... that's my indication for a car sitting level.

Do love the no spoiler look though.
WANTED: A plain WHITE VZ bootlid (no spoiler or chrome strips).
Please let me know if you see one for sale anywhere.

So you're one of the morons who thinks driving a boat (higher in the front than the rear) is cool? When was the last time you saw any kind of race car with a higher front end than rear end? The car IS level when you check ground clearance of the sill pan just in front of the rear wheels and just behind the front wheels.

"Boats" look and drive like pooh!

You can't tell me that in these photo's that the car looks level. The body kit raises much higher at the rear wheel than at the front.

Don't get me wrong, the car looks great but if it were mine (which I know it ain't), I would have it looking level.

Looks level to me... the sill panels aren't lower or higher at the front or rear. It's styled agressively which gives it a raked look but that's all...

My point about race cars was if setting up a car to be lower in the rear was going to be better for performance, race cars would all look like boats.

they are closer than ever troy

the Ziniks i wanted wont fit over the monster brakes...so i went and saw my mate and he was jumping out of his skin....some rims he reckons are perfect for the car....

they are one of a kind...well the Managing Director of the Rim company has them custom made up for his VE HSV so i know they will clear brakes as my brakes are made to suit the SSV rims or HSV rims... and my mate can get another custom set up made for me.

similar to ziniks...5 spoke black with chrome lip...some dish and the "rivets" on the edge of the rim are chrome...

those pics u put were a long time ago and the measurements arent for what the pics are.

the rear sits lower and even tucks a little tyre up now while the front is still the same...
didnt do it for any look but the stereo boot install made it drop lower due to weight

The pics SV6 posted it does show the car as pretty level if you check the underneath near the front of the side skirts. Its the kit that makes it look so outta wack. But i love that car and keep it up mate looks awesome!!

Whilst SlowPoke would say tucking a little rear tyre = "boat"
I would say tucking a little rear tyre = "shlt hot !!!"
