the CAI from chipmaster is specific for the VE. its a pod style setup

i'm waiting to see if the OTRCAI that has recently been developed by someone over east is gonna prove to be as good as they were for the VT-VZ range and might update then.

go see Dan @ Chipmaster and he will sort you out for a tune mate.
he is honest and no bull**** so have a chat with him and tell him what you want.
he has some neat OTRCAI for VT-VZ and can has different tuning options with maf, mafless, mail order tune, custom tune, etc

    thanks for the comments guys.
spoilerless is something that some ppl love where other ppl hate.
its something different and the main reason why its off is coz the SSV spoiler from factory on my car came really rough feel and swirls bad so got it off to clay bar it and all and thought i would go without for a week or two.
still havent clay barred it as i am a little lazy right now...lol...going on jetski is more fun than clay barring a spoiler

    Pabs
the stud patter for the VE is the same as previous commodores.
except in the VE the studs are 14mm where previous models are 12mm...thats about it.
most rodney jane mags have stud holes 14mm anyway for the commodores so they suit the VE...thats what i was told by mate who is a franchise owner of one

might go down and watch this wednesday.
the first couple of weeks will be packed and when mystery mondays starts it will be 2 nights of drags a week so it should ease the amount of ppl there and mean more runs in.

are you running the car on the night or just spectating?

would love to tuck some rim in the gaurds but coz of the long pacemaker extractors the high flow cats hang pretty low as there is no space to tuck them under and any lower than currently it will struggle over speed bumps in city carparks for work everyday.

the car is used everyday for work and used on the track, strip, sprint days, etc so for me its perfect for ride height, handling, etc....its not a show pony although when it does go into shows later on i can just wind the coilovers down and have it slammed!

nice work dude....going with giggle gas hey?

went down to the plex to watch a mate run...he did a 10.8 on the first run and packed up....now he has to cage it to come back.
next wednesday i am hoping to go down again this time with my helmet and give it a stab.
guys with same combo as me with street tyres are running mid to high 12s...
i know i wont get that being the first time i have ever dragged but should be in the 13s without any problems...

friend over east done it with the stop rims and tyres and ran a 12.7 so its possible. and with bald RE55s ran a 12.5

i aint gonna go out there and keep trying to get a 12 with stocks
just going out there for some fun and see what i run.
otherwise i would go tex clutch, 3.7 diff ratio, MT etc....if i was chasing low to mid 12s

might look into MT options if i get real keen.

more keen on no limits at Barbagello...prefer the track to a straight line

here ya go ppl....the result of a CSV DTI with mafless tune

so i went from 253.7rwkw and 488.2NM of torque with
    full exhaust
    chipmaster CAI
    Chipmaster Tune

to 274.7rwkw and 525.8NM of torque.
with a CSV DTI instead of Chipmaster CAI
    Chipmaster Mafless Tune

    21rwkw and 37.6NM gain
same dyno same operator both times

all i gotta say is this car is an animal to drive.
Big thanks go to Dan from Chipmaster for an awesome tune

    this thing is an animal.
i am still getting used to the mafless tune.
when driving normally its fine but when you get up her its a whole new story with mafless....and i love it
the ESP light keeps flashing like christmas tree lights now

plex got rained out and some got one run some got none
got free entry to it this week coz of it...so will be there

yeah your hsv brakes will stop you running smaller rims
i think mine will take 17s with semi slicks so might go down that path but just wanna have some fun now.
plex is good but track days at barbagello are insane.
