I'm done for the night. First thing tomorrow is a second coat of Body Wrap, polish the outside glass, polish the tips and chrome trim and start the inside. Last step is some Dodo Juice wax which I'll do Wednesday night.

    More pics to come tomorrow.

Shiny! Still got wax to go but I'm pretty impressed so far!

The worst part about cleaning your car so meticulously is that you find so many imperfections. I'd say this one happened when it got a window down respray last year. Bit of a bummer but I can't really do much about it now. It's a tiny bit of fluffy in the clear coat.

Appreciate all the positive comments guys. Makes me feel like all my effort has been worth it.

Current state. Grille, foglights bezels, chrome trim and number plates all reinstalled. I'm going to start the inside in a few hours. It's still 32 degrees here so I'm waiting for it to cool down.

Stickered up. Took some quick pics on my way back from Summernats scrutineering.

Also had to make a second trip to scrutineering as they gave me the wrong numbers on my stickers.

Looks good I saw it all 3 days.

NuckinFuts gave you boys a scare today, were you one of the crew that almost got skittled?

Shame he couldn't have done the burnout without almost running over people, because that aside it was a brilliant burnout

Cheers guys. Post up pics if you took any.

I wasn't one of the guys who nearly got run over but I wasn't too far away from it. The guy set the car on fire on Friday and when the fireys got on the track he started I up again doing nuts while they were right next to the car. He was basically told to piss off and don't come Sunday. He rolled up today and cracked the shots when he was told he couldn't run because of his actions on Friday. After about 10 minutes of arguing with management on the track (noone from the Chev club, actual Summernats management) he just jump in his car and took it down to the start line. He was told to shut it off but he just set down with a few guys standing in front of his car. There is a video up on YouTube in which you can see at the end when he is parading around like a douche that one of the guys he almost ran over was just about to flog him.

Pretty shit situation and the guy has been banned for life. Also the crowd reaction was bloody pathetic. Really I shouldn't be surprised though, pissed up bogans always seem to support the actions of a wanker.

Haha cheers. I didn't know you were going, you must have missed the thread in General about Summernats. We could have all organized a big meet n greet.

Wax day today. The couriers tried to deliver it 5 times to my house but didn't leave a card a single time. I only worked out what was going on after I PMed CCP about it. Seriously, of you want some awesome products and helpful service get in contact with CCP (look at the top of the main page for their sponsors forum), I highly reccomend their service.

This almost sounds like an ad for NuFinish - the once a year car polish… look at those beads!!

Just finished waxing with Dodo Juice Hard Candy. That stuff is awesome. I ended up rubbing it in by hand though as a microfiber towel seemed like it was using too much. I think I'll get some proper wax applicator pads. I'm going to do another coat of wax next week.

the pair of you both got off very lightly then lol. the best they have lightened my account in $1200 but the average is around $400 a phone call or about $600 a visit. best thing is the service you get from mike, pierre and lukasz, all top blokes.

as for applying the wax, grab some mint foam app pads as the do the job fine and are dirt cheap. just keep the one you use for the wax in a zip lock bag that way you dont need to grab a new one each time you want to apply more wax. the dodo finger mitts are ok but i feel they are a bit awkward to use, could be just me.
