Anyone able to identify the four pins on the bimodal actuator for the VF2's?

I was expecting only 2, basically +/- but there are four as seen on bottom right of the photo below.

Thanks

Anyone have a VF2 workshop manual?

Applied 12v to pins 1 and 4 and got slight movement but not continual.

It might be a stepper motor which means it needs to be pulsed and would give the ECU more accurate control over the position of the flap. Thats one issue with the vacuum type is you cant really have them half open.

That would make some sense of why when switching power on and of to pins 1 and 4 it inches.

It's Vietnamese. According to Google Translate, it means: 'Aunt, uncle give you the phone number of doctors applying for it? Contact you doctor without . Thank you."

Maybe something got lost in translation. :)

Oh dear this is way more complicated than expected.

Yeah I did a vacuum NPP retrofit onto my 60's Corvette and I was very pleased with the simplicity of it.... I mean I know they probably have infinite control over valve position this way, but it just seems so prone to failure. The vac system has no problem with heat (solenoid is far away from exhaust and insulated by vacuum lines) and is such a simple mechanical system I cant see it failing easily.

I just replaced the actuators in a VE Commodore. Although the part is slightly different, there were also 4 or 5 pins.

I can't remember the pin numbers but 2 of them controlled the motor to drive the gears, the other 2 went through a hall effect sensor to count the pulses (two pulses per revolution of the motor spindle).
Generally the sensor works on a 5v reference and may be damaged now you pumped 12v up its bum. Fingers crossed it's all ok.

Your best bet is to take it apart if the enclosure allows it. It was easy on the VE.
