Quick question, will a series 2 bonnet fit onto a series 1 as looking to put a new one on if the series 2 will fit? the one with the air vents on it.

Ha ha ha. we are all different, I hate those air vents!
Sorry I don't know the answer but I guess they would be interchangeable. I can't imagine Holden spending money on tooling to reshape the rest of the bonnet just to stick the airvents in?

I'm with Mr Cow, both in not liking the vents & not actually knowing whether the bonnets are interchangeable ... and also in thinking that they probably are. AFAIK the shapes of parts around it didn't change.

As the VF 2 Calais doesn't have the vents I imagine the VF and VF 2 are interchangeable across all models.

vents serve an actual purpose with this 6.2L

They may have a purpose.
Holden could have made look better by colour coding them, instead of just black, cheap, horrible bogan looking.
Thats why I bought 6.2L Calais.

I agree, I don't personally like them either. I bought a Calais as well for similar reasons. I prefer the understated looks with a few more creature comforts, and a more supple ride. It was a much better fit as a family car than an SS, SSV etc..but as i say, it's a personal choice.
