well finally got the wiring done on my car and it turns over
last night was able to get it to run/splutter for few seconds but cant get it running
now i need more ideas what too look at
so far
set the dissy timing to TDC and point 1. cant check with light till it idles
new leads on it and plugs in, new dissy cap, new rotary arm
has spark at lead #1 and its blue arc
has fuel in the system (botom fuel rail pipe is rock hard and presursing)
injectors i cant tell if there working as i cant hear them with starter running
check all the usal plugs are in.
the cas was work fine when i last had it running
check comp and got the standerd stuff plus
starter circuit system
and dentinaton sensor (didnt wire one up)
anyideas i wanna get it idling tonight

Have you given it a good long crank? The fuel lines just be dry?
Have you tried the hose method for listening to the injectors?

You said that you have the dizzy at TDC. Have you tried to advance it a few degrees then turned it over. If it's spluttering now, it might be that the timing is just a degree or two retarded from where it needs to be to start.
i set it at tdc then turned the dissy over to where approx 15degrees would be
still no start
it has spark, its got fuel to the rail but is it opening the injectors is another question.
i might go try pipe trick, one sec

Do you know if the valves are opening/closing properly?
Does it feel like its starting at all, or just turning over due to the starter?

got someone on ct checking his car to make sure ive got the fuel line pipes the right way
ie return isnt connected to the fuel regulator![]()

just checked the spark again and only got a weak orange spark once
would test the coil with my multimeter but its dead
suppose ill have to leave it till tommorow and get a spare one

yeah sounds like coil could be fault, but then again could be a number of things but atleast your narrowing it down, just sucks that your multimeter is dead

Can u smell fuel while you been cranking it for a while. back out a plug and check fuel.
Cant be anything to big.
Coil like u said. as well as power transistor on dizzy is working?
can smell fuel when cranking for a while
forgot to bring my spark plug socket home
going to try setting the dissy one more time, might have it on the wrong cycle, possibly everytime have set it at valves open lol
couldnt get another coil today, if anyone local has one i can borrow it would be appreciated
any way you can tests the capcitor or coil with out a muiltmeter?

i think its a fuel issue, as after every time you get it to run for the 3 seconds it needs to re prime the fuel system, so its using the fuel but it wont continue the supply once running.

so looks like i might have to seach for some ways to test it

i would suggest the high pressure fuel pump...
your inertia is priming up your system enough to force fuel into injectors
ill give the external pump a swap with one to see if that works before i strip the manifold to refit it

bridge your fuel pump fuse in the fusebox so that it has constant power. you can take the hose off for a sec to see if it sprays out. bear in mind it will SPARY out.
then reconnect the hose and get your mate to crank the starter while you hold the timing light. the light will still work while it is being cranked, even if it isnt idling...
then check if your 180 out![]()
check the fuel, i am getting fuel to the front.
changed the external pump as i might of had low pressure but no dif
regulator is working as flow comes out the fuel return on the rail too
pulled the first plug out and its dry, not even smelling of petrol or any carbon on it
so injectors are not opening
unpluged the first injector lead and plugged a na injector in and it aint ticking when cranking
no wiring on the injector loom was touched or cut
only put condue piping on to neat it
suppose i need to look at trying a difrent compter now
tryed my na auto one but no luck at even possible running
prob because the injector cycle is diffrent apparently

this might sound silly but have you got the rotor button facing the right way? you could 180 degrees out, sounds silly but its easy to do lol
on the rotartu arm one side of the shaft is squared off so you cant,
its was a good thought though
just been reading through some threads on CT and came across some post that MonstaS4 had posted
these are referring too the relay which was near the battery,
the metal casing relay i think we cut out, cant find it in the dash either (where most where moved too)
tested the injector and i have 12v to both the cables when the car has power running through the car
but then i get lost![]()
if this relay was to be removed would the injectors work?
