VL 5spd gearbox problem

Hey guys

Long time reader 1st time post

I got an rb30 turbo with 5spd gearbox its starting to make a grinding noise when in neutral 1,2,3, but stops with in 4,5 an also when i put foot on the clutch if any1 could help out or know what would be the cause much app, thanks for the Space

my guess would be front bearing

every manual vl iv ever been in does it, my old one did and the new one does to

if its really bad grinding youll be up for a rebuild (bearings atleast) but if its not super loud id just leave it for now..

i did alot of ks like it and never had a problem..

Could also be main shaft, My VL turbo gearbox made noise in those 3 gears and wouldnt let me into second at high RPM, Got it rebuilt all new synchros and such, the guy rang me up and says Hey its not your synchros or your bearings, the main input shaft had dropped inside the gearbox.. so i got all that replaced and this time i defo shot the synchros way to many skids hahaha
