I don't think you will be able to change it out yourself, last two times i got mine changed i took the lower control arms to a workshop and they freeze them out

Maybe heat it up with an oxy if possible and let it cool then try belting it out? i dunno if its possible but worth a shot if you can.

you can get a special tool from super cheap for 20 bucks and its sorta like a clamp and works a hell of alot better than bashing it, had mine out in 5 mins max

you really need to press them out, bashing them out will damage the control arm hole where they sit in and when you place the new ones in they will popout and make a horrible clunking sound whilst driving they won't fall out on the road as they are attached to the strut, I had this problem when it had a wheel alignment on the test drive it came out and the alignment was stuffed my mates solution was to weld them in underneath which worked fine, only problem is when they need to be replaced again I will need new control arms.

i have the snapon removal tool but it only gets it out of the strut not the lower control arm. i will try heating it with the oxy and then freezing the centre with freeze and release spray. see how that goes
