Default Hose from pot inside fuel tank

    Hey people

I have a problem, the hose from inside the fuel tank has become brittle and has broken to pieces, just wanting to know if it is possible to replace this hose, as there isn't many options on how to get into the tank, the hose is from the bottom of the pot to one of the outlets where fuel comes out of which attaches to the external fuel filter.

Has this happened to many people?

Thanks in advanced if you have any advice.

you will find the inertia pump is attached to an ally pipe line which runs along the whole mechanism as in float variable resistor for gauge etc and then comes to a plate which has a cork seal and about 8 bolts. then your hose is clamped onto the pipe running through the plate and runs about 4" to high flow pump. there is no rubber hose inside the tank.
The secondary ally pipe is fuel return
are you saying that the ally pipe has broken???

to get in to the tank. Working from behind the Diff you will find the high pressure pump and plate for assembly and unbolt all bolts make sure your fuel is low or drained. unplug the electrical plug for gauge and work the assembly carefully out.
Try not to loose the filter on the end of the pump.

Not sure what it's called but in my fuel tank at the bottom of the swirl pot in the tank there is ( or was a hose before it became brittle and broke) that went from the bottom of the swirl pot to an outlet that goes out of the tank. i have removed the internal fuel pump and can see where it needs to go as i can still see the hose clamps attached but don't know how i can get my hands in there to replace the hose. any ideas???

I remember looking at that rubber hose on mine and wondering how to ever replace it, I suspect you would need to cut a hole in the tank,. I think it carries fuel from the return line to the bottom of the swirl pot

I think I would just keep driving the car, but filling the petrol tank sooner, that way you would still get enough fuel for the internal pump, even if the fuel had to flow over the top of the swirlpot
