hey ive got a 6cyl n/a vl thats pretty much stock. lately ive only been getting like 280km out of a tank witch is sh*t... i used to be getting like 450-480km out of a tank.
what could my problem be?
thanks everyone.
possibilities are a worn trans e.g. slipping.
you thrash it more than you use to.
fuel leak in the system,
faulty air regulator, coolant temp sensor, fuel pump , fuel regulator or worn spark plugs.
Nobody wants to play with me
AFM settings need adjusting
O2 Sensor stuffed causing to run richer.
As what Jatsvl said Thrash it more(lead foot):P
not thrashing it anymore than i used to! lol
no fuel leaks that i can see
new spark plugs 3weeks ago
both fuel pumps were replaced less that a year ago
ill check the fuel reg and cts...
thanks guys
it would not tell the ecu that the engine is warm therefore keep the air/fuel mixture rich
if it is working properly the ecu tells the AFM to lean out the mixture.
something similar like the O2 Sensor as well. measuring gasses in exhaust and adjusting mixtures to run economically.
ive been getting about 100kms to half a tank and i have no idea what milage i should be getting and now after reading this i think my car isnt running good

Exhaust manifold or engine pipe housing?
Just a thought...
Probably a fuel leak somewhere. When replaced my fuel pump I noticed that it had a non standard regulator added into the system just after the external pump which suggests, to me, that it could have been blowing fuel lines somewhere between the tank at the reg before the rail.
Could be that you have a fuel line that isn't holding upi to the pressure perhaps.
yeah could be.. i only had it on ma hoist the other week but to be truthfull i didnt have a look i was just doing my front end
