I bought this VL a while ago for 800 bux (unregistered). Shes a bit rough around the edges, but came with 17" rims, sub and amp, and had a bit of work done to the motor, and just planning on getting it over the pits then spraying it at work and selling it.

Does anyone know where I can get a POD filter cover in W.A? If not over the net?

And the car has no badges so not too sure what model it is, but has a tacho on the dash? Or can I tell from the VIN? Im pretty sure its a Berlina though.

Does anyone know if I will have any troubles getting VL over the pits with 17s on her? And will 17s affect the speedo at all?

And also the best oil to use, auto N/A RB30 with POD and extractors

If you really must run a pod then talk to Mace on here, he's got some enclosures for vb-vl pod filters.
Check your plates to tell if it's a berlina or exec, and depend on how tired the engine is. 20w/50 is recommended but make sure it's a good quality oil and you shouldn't have any worries.

Also if it's a berlina the door cards will give it away, they have different handles to the exec's and sl's.

17's shouldn't worry your speedo too much, anything else?

the door cards on a berlina are half fabric and half vinal
where exec and sl are all vinal


check the kick panels near your feet, berlina are coverd in fabric
the door window frames will be black if a berlina, if same colour as car then its exec or sl
tail lights (sedan) are slightly tinted by having the lines on the lense painted black
berlina has sunglasses holder infront of shifter
berlina has high rise centre console
rear seat has a arm rest in the centre
carpeted parcel shelf
two reading light in the back on the roof
electric antena - has a button next to the demister button

there should be more then enough points to guide you

Just an executive then

Has anyone had any troubles with hoses corroding out on there fuel tank? I just replaced the hole fuel system but hose next to internal pump corroded out. Went to wreckers yesterday and ripped fuel tank out of another VL, and it has the same problem, showed the wrecker and he said he'd fix it for me.

And I dont have to run the POD, but it came with the car, and the wreckers down here doesnt have anything, and some young guy that buys it off me in the near future would probably like the look / sound. Im just trying to find a way to stop it sucking hot air..

do a cold air intake setup.. i have it on here somewhere dating a few years back do a search. easy quick and cheap to do.

You might have dramas getting it registered with a pod filter that isn't shielded too.
