    Default Engine ticking

Hey my na vl 5 speed is ticking.
was wondering if there was a quick fix to this and heard it is a pretty common problem with vl's
it matches the rythym of the motor.. for example at idle it ticks and if you rev it the ticking gets faster. it is loud enough to hear it through the bonnet and makes the car sound realy shit. the motor is in good condition and it is just one of those things that annoy you if you have a mate that owns a effing ford and will give you sh1t for "an engine thats going to blow up" im sure some of you know what i mean
    anywho any ideas
    cheers

You could use addiditives to fix noisy lifters, I havn't used them so I can't vouch their worth.

if its 1 or more noisy lifters the best additive Ive found is valvoline engine flush, its better than nulon lifter quietener which works, but not for long

Noisy Lifters..... Common...... Fresh oil change generally fixes the problem
a good preventative is to change oil regulary not let it get gummy and cause deposits. i change mine every 5000 Kms... if its not the lifters it could be injectors as well.

Look Here Cleaning Lifters - calaisturbo.com.au
For cleaning injectors if you cant fix it by flushing your system or using additive.

did you use the right oil a 20w50 oil? thinner oil will cause the lifters to make noise. nulon lifter free is a great product that works very well and regular oil changes every 5000kms.
you could also check your oil pressure to make sure the oil pump is not starting to fail.

possible the high flow pump starting to play up or the inertia pump...
    maybe fuel filter as well.
for $15 slap in a new filter.
how r u thinking the fuel pressure is low?
