new pump 044 noisy and right fuel pressure?

hey,

finished my build and got it started the new fuel pump bosche 044 is really noisy its external, what can i do to reduce the noise.

also got a turbosmart fpr800 rising reg and would like to know the right fuel pressure it should be sitting on at idle.

any help apreciated!

Pumps are noisy on all VLs.

despite being mounted on a rubber isolated frame, all external pumps are still noisy, you get used to it

the 044 are known to be quite noisy

i would say try wrapping it in a fibreglass blanket to try and block the sound but i might cause the pump to over heat a bit

cheers guys! ill get used to it! lol can any one suggest the right idle fuel pressure it should be on? after a high rev it almost cuts out then is ok. would that be because i have the intercooler on but not had a tune yet just using standard ecu or because i have removed stock reg and just using the rising fuel reg.
