    Unhappy Typical Dash instruments

    Hey
my vl's insturments seem to only work when they feel like it. for example the battery volts works most of the time, the fuel gauge rarely works, and the oil pressure gauge sometimes works and you can hear it tapping when it dies like a little tick when the needle hits the far right side of it (poor describing sorry) anyone have any ideas on what this is and how to fix it. the main one i want fixed is fuel
its also just had 2 new fuel pumps so can't be that
    thanks

i would suggest checking the main wiring harness/plug if all gauges are causing probs... possible corrosion/ bad connection...
i understand the ticking.... the gauge needle slapping the stopper pin far right :P

    It's a pic from a calaisturbo article.

Vl Fuel Gauge Fix - calaisturbo.com.au

Mind you I did that and when I took my dash in to a repairer, he shook his head big time at what I'd done. (It did work though)
