VL not starting after being low on fuel

Hey guys my car ran low on gas monday night and started spluttering but would still start. left it a few days and now it wont at all even after putting 10 litres gas in. Car turns over and fires every one or two cranks but it wont stay alive. had a Vl years ago and it did the same thing turned out to be a fuel pump, just dont wanna go replace it if it isnt that.

I should be able to hear the pump when I turn the ignition on right??

yeh listen out for the pump also try to clean your throttle bottle that can work and very rare but you could have siezed your injectors happened to a freinds silvia when they ran out of petty

Add more fuel n see what happens...

my old vl when i ran it dry took almost 20l to prime up again

Yeh, when you run empty, it can clog your injectors up with dirt and stuff.

shit in your tank...debris etc what the knobs get in it at the servo have possibly blocked your filter or inertia pump filter..
or add more fuel to reprime.
