Just cleaned my engine bay its all dried and now she wont start. Turns over, then when i stop trying to start it the engine idles for 1 second =S
Does anyone know what could be the problem?
I rekon after trying the first time that i saw a little puff of smoke come outta the engine bay, not too sure what that could be tho.
Water could have got into the distributor cap. have to get that off and give it a good wipe over inside. Water may have got into your plugs area.
I have dont that before when I had my VL and once I got those cleaned and dry and a burst of CRC it went all good.
Hopefully it is that simple for ya.
WD40 is your best friend now, spray anything that is electrical, distributor, plugs, make sure you didnt flood the alternator and air filter as well. Should always cover the key electrical components before washing the bay.
somethings wet for sure, let it dry in the sun again for a day and see if that changes anything...if ur keen give it a look over in the areas suggested above..
check ur fuses too.
first thing i would take dizzy cup off... possible CAS got wet if seals are shitty first thing what would caus it as well as the plug on top... Try using INOX that stuff rocks spray all electrical plugs even use a compressor with air gun and dry it out..
i should not be nothing too big.
its all fixed now, turns out there was a bit of water in with the spark plugs.
the dizzy head is supposed to have a thin gasket under it, its often missing so water gets in easily
