ecotec into vl

my mates giving me an ecotec and t5 box just wondering whats required to get it into the vl have read other posts similar to this one but didnt find them hugely helpful

will need a v6 k frame and engine mounts
custom exhust as its off twin headers

if using the T5 you will have to mix match things to get it working, ask VN_luke he has done it before

will i be able to use the brakes from the vs in the vl? just for some added stopping power

you will need to use the brakes from a vs or better to pass engineering.

Vt brakes fit

can use vn-vs v8 brakes on front, same as VLT fronts
289mm think the disc are, single piston caliper

or look into vt set up, which use hub adaptors
298mm disc and twin spot calipers

but once you do the vt set up you can go even bigger by getting the caliper mounting brakets
which allow 330mm disc or even bigger with possible 4spot hsv calipers


but make sure if you upgrade you do the master cylinder and brake booster too help make the set up work to its best

just another question what do i need to do since the ecotec has the bcm does it require cutting into looms?
