Just wondering what it is.
I've had a look around but i can't seem to find a similar thread answering this question.
Thanks.
ok, door trims are all vinyl on exec's, have carpet on berlina, window surrounds are black on berlina, body colour on exec. Seats and trims are different between the two, dash is different - tacho instead of a clock... little badge on the dash and boot say berlina as opposed to executive... there's more but i'm lazy right now...
hmm okay thanks you didnt really specify everything like what goes with what..
what in your opinion would you say is better?
Berlina's is the better model !! berlinas have all electrics , might be different in a VL though , but vs different door moulds different cluster , climate control etc.....
Exec is the base model !
Berlinas also have high rise console, arm rest in middle of back seat, 2 interior lights located on both sides of rear seat, air conditioning, sunglasses holder.... there more someone will get something i missed.
Some Berlinas have calais options like power windows, mirrors etc

sl= special limited i think and i dont think there is a difference (it says sl inside the car but exec outside)
the exec isnt mentioned in my VL handbook and I think was a limited time model, like the vacationer
hahah wow i thought mine was the shittest and cheapest model being an SL but obviosly not.. its not like its anything special though.. like identical to the exec
cheers
when new
$13,830 sl six manual sedan
$15,150 executive six auto sedan
$18,381 sl six turbo manual sedan
$23,540 calais auto sedan
the vk/vl models were the crossover models from the sl to the executive name the vl was the last sl and there is certainly nothing limited about an executive as that continued on as the base model commodore for the next 20 odd yrs until the vx/vy models where it was replaced with the omega name.
any differences between the sl and exec are minimal to none. the prices up top reflect that as the auto was/is dearer than a manual.
