Power windows install

was just wondering how hard would it be to install electric windows on my sl, where would the switches go and were could i get the power unit things from? would it be easier just to rip it off a calias ?
any ideas or suggestions?

ok so is it very hard to find a wrecked calais that has all the bits to the power windows?
where do the little buttons go on the doors?

you need calais door trims, they have no hole for the wonder handles and a place to fit the switches. Theres a how-to on this forum on exactly this topic, have a quick read of that before you decide wether or not it's worth it.

Also keep in mine you'll probably need to rewire a few of the switches etc as the soldering doesn't hold up so well after 20 years...

ebay sells alot of that gear.. if u dont have central locking.. might aswell do that at the sametime with the windows..

yeh was planning to do central locking some stage aswell
is sourcing the calias bits hard and how long will it take to do
or should it be saved for Ron?
and the how to thread? could someone post a link i had a look but couldnt find it. maybe im blind haha
would something like this complete it, does the main switches the 4 sit in the centre console? and would i definatley have to get calais rear door trims?

iv bitten the bullet and decieded not to do this after all it is just another thing to break lol
would be pretty cool and might do it a lot later, still have the trusty old window winders of which i need new ones
