Vl commodore rb30 motor with 5 speed for $1150 anyone think thats a good price to pay or should i keep looking for cheaper?
Real cars don't power the front wheels, they lift them
If the car is immaculate then yeah - great price. If it's a rusted bomb then you are probably paying around $800 too much.
Reaper
yeh get some pics probably the best way, and try to get a roady with it aswell
just have a look for basic shit that might hurt you down the track eg worn tires, belts and shit need replacing, worn pads/drums, suspension and the body work espicialy rust, take it for a drive and see how it goes listen for any suspicious noices, some mechanics will have a quick look over the car you for next to no price aswell
just some ideas
cheers mate and good luck
just motor and gearboxwreckers hear are nasy with prices

man thats nasty price, i wouldnt pay for it unless the motor was rebuilt or something..
yea trying to get them any cheaper is bullcrap around here, might have to try out of state
Real cars don't power the front wheels, they lift them
thats F***** i paid like 300 for a second hand gearbox 5sp manual and their are rb30's selling for like 300 aswell in canberra
guys thats actually not a bad price from a wrecker...the real question is why are you buying from wreckers...they charge through the nose and its not as if RB30's are thin in population!
