Find some old school tuning place that can "regraph" your dizzy will be the best/easy gain I'd expect

pfffwah - how long is a piece of string???

I'd go a few steps forward on GF's advice - regraph the dizzy and take it to a carb specialist for a tune by somebody who knows how to tune the two making them work well together. They will probably want to know the cam and other specs to do the job properly.

If you want to stick with the old style heads etc, find a set of B cast heads and HDT VL manifold + find a VK Group A grind cam. Do this before you do the dizzy/carb.

well this is what wikipedia says. 122 kilowatts (164 hp) with 323 newton metres (238 ft·lbf) but its probably down a bit from that because its been a few years since it came out

decent set of headers and freeflow exhaust, perhaps bigger carb, air filter, mild cam , and decent tune for starters should get the old girl back into life a bit.

And the v8 lacked the power of the vl turbo, but when released was promoted for its towing capabilitys with the torque of the old 8!!

dont change the carb, it's the best performer and the most underrated.

Why oh why does everyone turn to Wikipedia? **** Wikipedia.

Get it up on a dyno for a power run, it may not be 100% accurate, but will be a good guide / baseline on power gains for whatever mods you do for a comparison.

you would be up for boring/honing+decking and linishing crank.striping 2 heads down and reasemble.or at minimum at least hone the bores new rings and bearings etc.

but i think hes just after some easy mods.so i still sey heads and cam all the way
