VT seats, rails & electrics

I'm asking this for me son.....he wants to put a set of VT seats in his VL....we know he'll have to change the rails over, but the VT seats his looking at getting are electric.....can the electrics be fitted to the VL rails at all or are they a non interchangeable?....has anyone done something like this?

hmm. not sure myself but I for one would want to do this I can help with the wiring as it certainly will not be plug and play as the VL never had electric seats at all.

As far as im aware the wiring/motor/control switch is contained in the seat itself and only needs a power source providing it doesnt have side airbags.

thanks....I thought they would be part of the rail, as its the rail that moves the seat, not the seat moving the rail
