Hey peoples
I had a thought....
Has anyone turned a vl sedan into a convertible and got it road legal????
Well i was thinking I might have a play with one of the wrecks and see if I could turn it into a soft top convertible and see what it would be like.
What do you guys think????
Do you reckon i should have a play and see how it goes???
The only thing is that if no-one has done it before maybe i could be the first one to do it!!!!

I've seen it done a few times.
Struts need to be added to the body and solid rods weleded inside the windscreen support including leaning back the windshield. Quite a bit of work is required.

I've see a few VN's and Ford LTD (the older shapes)done, never a VL. Why don't you have a go with photoshop and see what it looks like, see if it has the lines that would look good as a convertible. Also speak to an engineer, anything can be done if its within the safety guidelines. It would be a challenge, I reckon it could look pretty good with the VL.
there is a vl convertable in the holden musemum in echuca thats road legal looks great to

yeah i know that im not silly, thats why i was gunna do it on a wreck and fiddle around then do it to another so i can fix mistakes if need be

yeah well one o my shells i cant get registered coz the previous owner ****ed it in the bum so i will have a play with that one day when i get time and take photos and shit when im doing it prob wont be for a lil bit tho
