Default High beams playing up, Dim lights altogether.

hey guys, wel as the title said, my lights are very dim, when on low beam, and then when i flick onto high beam, only one side works, and the indicators on the drivers side stay on until i switch off high beams. If it helps, i have VT blinkers cut into the front guards.
any help or suggestions as to what the problem might be would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers, Snowy.

also the fuse box melts so check that its an easy fix to rewire some relays in there instead of running it through the fusebox as that melts

lol, I have the same issue in mine...even down to the drivers side. With mine, it's corrosion inside the main light harness....follow the wires coming out of the headlight back behind the battery and you will find a white (once upon a time) plug...wriggle it, jiggle and wrestle it...see what happens
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!

I had issues with my lights (high beam) I ended up with dad's help, rewiring (to a relay) only on one side of the car (right hand beside my battery) for both left and right (high beams) as i kept melting the fuses. I also ran a few extra earths too and put a seperate new fuse holder off the old one (it looks pretty cool) but my high beam fuse holder is bugger (too many melt downs). Also replaced my indicator / lights leaver and it's premo now. Go the VL!!!!
