Default r31 skyline and vl auto the same?

    hey gents,
the heading explains itself really but could someone please confirm for me that the vl and r31 auto gearboxs are the same and what they actually are?... and then if you know... if they make a shift kit for them?

    cheers

From memory, I think Holden built their own drive line (Transmission and Drive shaft) for the RB30 in the VL.
Couldn't tell you much more than that

Actually, They use the same Automatic transmission as Nissan: A E4N71B for the Skyline and VL, but the 5-speed Manual was built by Holden.

Nah the 5 speeds are the same as the R31s aswell. Atleast the N/A one is. Not really sure about the turbo 5 speed boxes.

Unique Cars and Parts: "...GM also sourced a Nissan electronic four-speed automatic, although those opting for a manual still received the Aussie 5 speed unit."
