Default Power versus non-power steering columns?

there is a difference, isn't there?

whats the difference? what part specifically do I need to use a non power steering rack on my vehicle that had power steering?

Is the VK steering column at all similar?

I have a VK workshop manual, as well as a VL manual, the VL tells me nothing about anything, while the VK manual has a fair bit of information about the power, vs non power, and it looks like a very similar setup to the VL.

    any help would be great!!!

    thankyou all!

The bulk of the steering column is the same powersteering to non powersteering.

The part that is different is the intermediate shaft, which starts at the rack and ends just at the firewall.

that was the feeling I got from the VK workshop manual.

how does the intermediate shaft disconnect from the steering column?

and is the VK the same?

how does it remove from the column?
