Need new turbo?Where to buy?

Hey guys

Need a new turbo for a vl. Where abouts could i look to find 1? Does any where in brisbane or gold coast sell them off the shelf etc?

either look through wreckers for one
checking for shaft play/wear and tear. or buy a new one upgrading it in the process

Got one but the seal is stuffed. How much to rebuild? Was thinking of just upgrading. is it worth it to rebuild?

i cant say as i aint a turbo builder :P

find a local turbo specialist in your area and talk too them
compair cost on a rebuild and getting it hi flowed too a new bigger turbo

make sure you match the turbo to the engine application
get the optimum set up to suit ie manifolds - injectors - tune

ebay rebuild kits for standard t3 are about $80 i believe, have a look on there.

The shaft of the turbo needs to be balanced when it is rebuilt, or it will destroy itself.
