Vl 200 series

Hey just a question to all those vl fans that may know a bit about the 200 series...
I have recently picked up this model of commodore and have been told it is extremely rare i do not plan to ever get rid of this car it has been a dream of mine to have a vl for a long long time... Just wanted to know your thoughts about changing the colour to the purple (the new commodore colour) as the original paintwork has seen much better days, i know it will decrease the value greatly, i would love to hear your thoughts on the matter thanks.........

There were 600 built according to the original sales Brochure and it was for Australia's 200th Anniversary,
the series 200 has normal SL front, just has calais filled headrests in front, calais style interior crossed with berlina.
other features were 15" wheels with turbo type hubcaps, colour coded bars, and possibly a calais steering wheel..

they are a semi rare car now as the numbers are falling short, but i do still see a few around just worse for ware

i would say dont paint it,
get a cheap normal vl and play with it

yeah thats right dont paint it unless your going the original colour just a respray but you be better of leaving it...

there was only 200 made of these thats why there called series 200

the 200 series are the same colour as my car i think but they had a body kit and a few extra bits

This is my one. if you respray stick with original colours. mines had a respray looks great when clean.
