A bloke is trying to sell his VL near my place. It's been painted Matt Black, has standard rims, and is probably just an Exec sedan. He wants $700 but it isn't going anywhere fast, so I reckon the price is too high.
Assuming it's registered, although I haven't seen it move from the same spot for weeks now, what would be a fair price? I have no idea of interior condition, distance travelled or mechanical state, so just assume they are all fair and in reasonable order. Maybe 200k on the clock.
Rough estimates?
Cal, reckon that's probably too much, especially if its stock. Not sure if it would have 200k on the clock, probably a bit more like 380 - 400k. Some of the odometres bugger up so make sure it's in working order.
Be interesting to see what you find out about the car.
I'd start at wreckers price mate, but having said that I have no idea of the condition.
If it's a manual, stock with good seats, runs ok, no rust in the rear window (boot doesn't leak) no rust in the front window.
Probably offer $350 with the aim of spending $400 in repairs for a knock around car.
If its been sitting like you say, be real careful. Simple things like a battery costs a fortune these days.
Best of luck, look forward to a full report![]()
500 or under anymore and it better come with rwc.![]()
