calais front on exec

Has anyone put a pop up calais front on an exec and how did you wire it up...just need to know where the wires go???

any help would be great!

well i have hooked it up too a switch until someone can tell me where the wires go for it as i wouldnt have a clue!

i would think they would go to a relay, where the relays switch wire is controlled by the lights switch

yeah it has a relay and a thin black plug with three wires but i dont know where or wat the wires go to or which wires go where as in which wire goes to what at the light switch if u get me

i dont know if the wiring loom is slightly different to accomodate the pop up calais lights.somebody with a calais will help im sure. im sure its not that hard to wire in a switch wire to work with lights relay

yeah i got it on a seperate switch for now might just leave it like that for now

just wire that up to the lights relay power so when lights are on so is the pop ups :P

put a bigger fuse in too, i use 40's with alot of mine, just to be safe. never had a meltdown or blowout yet...

stupidest thing ive heard in awhile

you need a switchable relay with 5 pins, you wire it as so:
87a - to lights lift wire
87 - to lights down wire
30 - constant 12v
86 - light trigger wire like your parker lights wire loom found near the battery
85 - to EARTH

thats what i did, you may have to swap 87 and 87a around according to how yours works, if ya wire it backwards the lids go down when the lights are on and the lids go up with the lights off lol,

yeah i got a 5 pin relay in man but just got it hooked up to a switch so when i turn the lights on i have to flick a seperate switch and they pop up but i will give it a go mate and see what happens

Do you know what colour these are from the plug

There is a plug that goes to the relay with 5 wires...
'then there is a thin rectangle plug with 3 wires out of it????
