Broken Door lock...

hi guys, one of my mates was in my car n was bein a funny C$@% and locked the door... when i tried to open it with the key, he held his finger on the sliding lock, but i didnt know, and the lock broke... now the door is locked and i have no way of getting in, the door is locked and the key doesnt work.

Anyone ANY ideas?

I'm desperate...

Never mind guys... problemo fixed !

well its still broken... but i got into the car for starters, will pop the trim off tomorrow..

popped the trim off tonight... lol and the little plastic bit that surrounds the lock, is ****ed and wont turn when the key does... well it only turns when you try to lock the door, not when you try to unlock it. so looks like im up for a new one of those...

just FYI :P

the original door and ign locks are now badly worn or corroded so that almost any VL key will unlock and start any other VL

if you grab a solex lock and turn it they pop open.......Just a waste of money and time!!!!!

Your better of buying brand new ignition barrel and door locks for a vl...that what i did and nobody that i know and amonst all of my keys i havent been able to open it

Nice do also make a copy of the original GM product but the quality leaves a lot to be desired, Solex's are "Nice" product also, but i dont know what your saw with nice on it

My door key has the "NICE" on it , the one i have at the moment, but im getting new ones that are different.

Well that depends if the car is insured for more than its worth. (Joke) I didn't know the solex were crap. Anyway, as I said in the other post I've already bought a set a couple of years ago.

yeah they are crap alright...Yeah i had brand new "NICE" locks in the berlina and none of the keys i had or my mates had would open it and they were brand new locks so it's gotta say something doesn't it???
