    Default coolant flush procedure

Hey, im going to do a coolant flush on my vl. I'm going to use this guide Bleeding The Cooling System - Calaisturbo

Just to make sure on things because it dosn't show on the guide I was just wondering to get rid of the old coolant all I have to do is remove the top and bottom radiator hoses and let the coolant drain and than go on with the procedure?

    So it's like:

    1. Remove top and bottom radiator hoses and let coolant drain, re-connect hoses when done.
    2. Set heater to full hot
    3. Fill the radiator through the 2L coke bottle until the coolant level reaches the top of the bottle.
    4. open the lower bleed bolt and let the coolant run out until no air seems to be escaping with the coolant
    5. proceed to the top bleed bolt, apply the same procedure as with the lower bleed bolt.
    6. Start the motor and run it for a while, varying the RPM a little in an attempt to free any air bubbles that may be trapped in the water pump/other areas
    7. Nip everything back up, fit radiator cap and make sure overflow bottle is filled to the appropriate amount.

I recently changed the oil using Castrol Magnatech 10w-40 oil, would this be ok as ive only done 100,000k's on my VL? or should I change it to something else?

    Default

    to refill
    turn on heater
undo both bleeder bolts unless they are frozen in place
force water in radiator cap hole using garden hose , wrap rag around hose until water flows from both bleeder holes
reverse flush cooling system using hose

replace radiator cap and replace bleeder bolts, dont forget radiator chemicals

    check water level later

its best to remove gasket or remove block drain plug to get water out of block, both can be difficult jobs
