have just got a vl which is on lpg and has backfired on the previous owner and now is has now spark
cas which is the crank angle sensor mate...before you change that check that the 2 leds are on in the computer when ignition is turned on if they are on it will be your cas
as well as when a backfire happends it can blow out the wire in your Air Flow Meter(AFM) very small in gauge this wire is..
just run a diagnostic on your system from the ecu to get code numbers..
Also do a check on the power transister the computer doesent list a fault code for it.
afm wont cause it to have no spark detox as it would still fire if it didnt have an afm
i know knackers.:P
but as he said backfire its another thing to check now as this can damage the afm

what they charge for a rebuild kit these days so you can do it yourself?
nah man got it checked out it doesnt need it just waiting on my mate to come over with some more cooler piping and should be sweet to go on
i broke some studs on the exhaust housing there out now and just waiting for my mate and be all sweet
sweet as man.. sounds good. im in the process of sourcing cooler piping. GK teck have some nice ones but they willl not sell without the cooler core which i already got. i may need to buy a few ally donuts and weld up my own
