Unhappy my vl wont start just done engine change

i own a series II vl berlina just swaped the engine hooked everthing up as it should be it has spark and it starts when i spray airostart down the air intake so it makes me think that it must be fuel i have checked the fuel pump for pressure and change fuel pressure regulators and computers now its just doing my head in. could a sensor be the problem?
