what colour is your jack handle?

worth checking the standard jack handle and wheel spanner, mine was painted green, I got a flat and couldnt find the spanner against the long green grass, I guess someone will eventually find it with their lawnmower

I got another from a wreckers yard and painted it yellow
the bloke warned me against any heavy towing, the floor has a reputation of stretching with the VL, dont know if this also applies to the earlier commodores

hahah who cares what color as long as it does the job...
as for the floor stretching i have heard this happening but never experienced it as i tow work trailer/boats/caravan with no issues,..
i guess its been done properly when i got the car

Are you serious? The handles are huge how could you lose that on the side of the road. Mine lives in the spare wheel well, and as far as im concerned aslong as it makes the jack go up and down when i get a flat im not fussed. I use the trolley jack otherwise. Also i have 'heard' of the floors stretching but never actually seen it happen or a vl that has its floor stretched
